Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team at TP ICAP Group. In this role, you will manage the financial accounting of approximately 35 entities across the US, Canada, and South America, adhering to TP ICAP accounting deadlines. Your focus will be on tech-related accounting tasks such as accruals, pre-payments, amortization, and depreciation. Additionally, you will support the FP&A and Business Partner teams, driving process improvements and ensuring smooth transitions for newly acquired companies.

Role Responsibilities
• Monthly Accounting: Manage monthly financial accounting for TP ICAP Americas legal entities, covering approximately 35 active entities across the US, Canada, and South America.
• Accruals and Pre-payments: Oversee the processes for accruals, pre-payments, and similar accounting functions.
• Amortization and Depreciation: Handle accounting processes related to amortization and depreciation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Financial Reporting: Compile detailed monthly reports for clients within finance and outside finance.
• Trend Analysis: Analyze trends, costs, revenues, and financial commitments for supervisor review.
• Collaboration: Work closely with accounting staff from various offices within the US, Asia, and EMEA on intercompany activity.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with compensation teams to ensure revenue and costs are accurately reported by broker and desk.
• Process Improvement: Continuously seek improvements in work processes and efficiency within the Financial Reporting team. Experience / Competences
Essential
• 3-5 years of experience working in a finance department, with a focus on tech-related accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards and guidelines, with the ability to apply them within a tech-driven finance environment.
• Proven ability to manage accruals, pre-payments, amortization, and depreciation.
• Experience in analyzing and reconciling financial data.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as Oracle, HFM, or similar platforms. Desired
• Experience supporting FP&A and Business Partner teams with performance commentary.
• Familiarity with P&L analysis and providing insights on performance.
• Strong continuous improvement mindset focused on process efficiencies.
• Experience assisting finance staff of newly acquired companies during transitions to TP ICAP systems and processes.
• Market knowledge is not required, but a basic understanding would be beneficial. Annual Salary: $90,000 - $110,000
